International Signing Period (2013-14)

Jimenezeloy.jpgThe 2013-14 International signing period goes from July 2nd 2013 to June 15th 2014. During that period, MLB teams can sign international prospects who are 16 years old within Sept. 1st 2013 or turn 17 years old by either 1) September 1st or 2) the end of his first professional season, whichever is later. Players need to register to the Office of the Commissioner within May 1st preceding the International signing period.

Starting this year, Clubs will be allocated different Signing Bonus Pools, based on reverse order of winning percentage the prior championship season (i.e., the Club with the lowest winning percentage the prior season shall receive the largest Pool).
