San Marino wins title in Italy

logoIBL.gifWith a 10-1 win in game #7 over Nettuno, San Marino (4-3) won the Italian Series and celebrated its second championship in the Italian Baseball League, after the historical 2008 title. Giovanni Pantaleoni and Carlos Duran hit homeruns for the champions. Francesco Imperiali drove in 3 runs. Henry Bonilla was the winning pitcher with 7 IP, 7 hits and just one run allowed. Remigio Leal suffered the loss with four hits, five runs and two walks in 1 2/3 IP. Tony Granato was named the Italian Series MVP.
