Roy Halladay threw MLB’s 20th Perfect Game

halladay.jpgRelying on a 90-94 mph fastball that he threw with perfect control and mixing in a sharp 78-80 mph curveball, Roy Halladay retired all 27 Marlins he faced (11 strikeouts), joining Jim Bunning (1964) as the only Phillies pitchers to throw a perfect game. The righthander pitched the third no-hitter in the Majors this season, joining Ubaldo Jimenez and Dallas Braden, who threw a perfect game. Philadelphia won the game 1-0.
